The ‘Valou’ wallet was created in conjunction with banking group DNB, and will be available to consumers from the third quarter of 2013 onwards. The wallet recently underwent a successful trial amongst 200 Telenor customers throughout the country, so it is hoped that the wider introduction of the service will also prove popular.
The news follows the launch of a similar NFC wallet in Romania, with the country’s ING Bank making its ING Pay service accessible to customers earlier this week. Available to those with an iPhone 4, 4S or a Samsung Galaxy handset, the app will allow users to make contactless payments at any Visa PayWave terminal.
